The locomotive numbers are shown with the 1948 numbers, the 1957 Numbers or the TOPS numbering system, whichever was used for a particular locomotive
Photographs
Photographs are used with the permission of the relevant authors, and must not be used without their prior consent. In other instances the photographs have been provided under Licence Arrangements. You must not copy or use the photographs from my site, but must confirm with the original photograph on the internet, that it is still available under the terms of a licencing agreement.

Current Location and and state of preservation
I have attempted to record the probable current location of locomotives, BUT
they can be moved at short notice,
so you must verify they are still there and available for viewing at the location
specified.
In addition, although they have been preserved, the actual state of preservation should be checked.
Some may still awaiting restoration to start, others may have fallen into disrepair
or being used for spare parts.
You must contact the relevant organisation to confirm the situation.
Although I have provided links to the Web Sites of the Heritage Railways, not all of them
keep the information provided there bang up to date.
The amount of information to upload on this website will take time to complete,
so please do check regularly for the latest updates.
As the site is continually being updated it may be a good idea to refresh pages that you are looking at
